Registering a work on Monetunes is simple. Follow these steps:
Navigate to the "Works" Tab: On the sidebar, click on "Works" and then press the purple "Add" button in the top-right corner.
Fill in the Required Fields: Provide detailed information about your work, ensuring all required fields are completed:
- Title: The title of the work (e.g., “Plastic Heart”). Note: A single work can have multiple recordings, such as remixes or instrumentals.
- Alternative Titles: Add alternative spellings or names (e.g., “H3LL0” and “Hello”) to ensure all royalties are captured.
- ISWC: If available, provide the International Standard Musical Work Code (ISWC).
- Recordings: List all recordings associated with the work (e.g., remixes, covers, or piano versions). Include details like Spotify links, ISRC codes, length, and record label.
- Performers: Identify the primary and featuring artists for the work.
- Writers: Add the writers involved, specify their contributions (lyrics, instrumental, or both), and assign splits (must total 100%). Mark “Collecting” if Monetunes will collect royalties for them.
