How do I create a new writer?

This can be done in two ways. The first option involves clicking on the "Writers" tab on the sidebar and then the purple "Add" button in the top right corner of the screen and from there you can fill in the writers details.

The second option is applicable when you are registering a new song. When doing this, you have the option to add a writer whilst adding a song without losing any data you have already inputted. This was provides a sleeker and quicker process when registering a catalogue or singular work.
